Our Program

Our Curriculum

Our classroom closely follows the Montessori curriculum, designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Each area gives children hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore the world at their own pace.

Our Schedule

Our daily schedule is designed to provide structure while remaining flexible to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of each child. Children have consistent routines, but the day can shift slightly to support curiosity, exploration, and individual learning.

Each morning and afternoon, children enjoy nutritious homemade meals, including snacks and lunch, prepared to support healthy growth and focus throughout the day.

At the heart of our Montessori classroom is the work cycle—a block of uninterrupted time where children choose activities, engage deeply with hands-on materials, and develop concentration, independence, and problem-solving skills. During this time, teachers guide and support rather than direct, allowing children to take ownership of their learning.

Meals & Snacks

At Ramsey Oaks, we believe good nutrition is foundational to how a child learns, grows, and feels throughout the day. Well-nourished children focus better, regulate their emotions more easily, and have the steady energy to engage fully in their work. As a participant in the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), our meals follow established nutritional guidelines to ensure they're balanced and support healthy development. Lunches are made from scratch by Ms. Chelly, with organic ingredients whenever possible, and snacks are always wholesome — a mix of homemade and thoughtfully chosen store-bought options, so your child is well-nourished from morning to afternoon. Here's a sample of our seasonal menu, which we update throughout the year to reflect the freshest ingredients each season offers.

*Our muffins & sandwich bread are lovingly handmade with fresh-milled four by one of our school families.
